Dear Sir / Madam, I am writing in response to your letter dated 15.09.2022. I previously filled in your form for council tax support and asked for it to be back dated to when I first started receiving Universal Credit (08.08.22) when I was first made unemployed. Please note: my previous council tax number was 58XXXX which I cannot access anymore. My Lambeth council Tax number has subsequently changed to 58XXXX. I previously asked the council for advise about how I might go about applying for council tax support; as the system has changed a lot since I was last unemployed: with universal credit now taking over from the council with housing etc.. I had waited over a month without any response and was hoping that the new system might all be automated...? This is / was not the case. I received no information or advise from anyone and looked again at the councils website and spent a lot of time working out that I needed to supply all the same information that I had already submitted to Universal credit the previous month. I was happy to receive the news last week that my application had been accepted but was then devastated to then receive a letter from you (dated above) telling me you have no record of my previous correspondence; which I cannot access due to it being made through my previous account. The fact still remains that I have lived & worked (and payed my Taxes) in Lambeth. I was made unemployed because of stress due to long working hours in this borough; this is now with my union who are dealing with it. I do not particularly like the fact that I am being made out to be a liar by your letter and this is certainly another contributing factor to the aforementioned stress as well as more unnecessary potential financial hardship. Regards, TXH
